I say Amen! to all prayers for Senator Kennedy's soul and those who loved him and offer some of my own.
But this pushes the envelope of reality:
He Made Me Proud to Be a Catholic by Sr. Maureen Fiedler in the
National Catholic Reporter (not to be confused with the reliable
National Catholic Register).
As Inigo Montoya said, "I do not think that word means what you think it means."
Patrick Madrid's interesting response can be read
here.

I thought this from the sister seemed okay:
"Because his life (and the lives of others in his family) embraced the great Catholic social justice tradition, they have made me proud to be a Catholic."
I think you will like this article Roz. Here is an excerpt:
Ted Kennedy’s tireless efforts on issues like health care, education and immigration were explicitly rooted in Catholic social teaching, and so was his sister’s lifelong labor on behalf of the physically and mentally impaired.
What separated them was abortion.
Along with her husband, Sargent Shriver, Eunice belonged to America’s dwindling population of outspoken pro-life liberals. Like her church, she saw a continuity, rather than a contradiction, between championing the poor, the marginalized and the oppressed and protecting unborn human life.
